Burial of martyr Husam Rwidy marred by Israeli police involvement

Silwan, Jerusalem (SILWANIC) —

Husam Rwidy, was buried today at 1:30 in Bab al-Rahmeh cemetary in Silwan. The family faced significant problems in having the body released from Israeli police custody, who claimed they needed it to continue investigations in to his death. Police also allowed the family only 2 hours after the release of Rwidy’s body in which to bury him, and issued an order to the family that only 20 of Rwidy’s closest relatives attend the funeral.
