A 13 year old child was arrested in Silwan yesterday, 15 February. Marwan Awar, the father of the child, received a phone call from Israeli police summoning his son to the station in the morning. The child was under investigation for 6 hours, from 11am until 5pm, whereupon the father was ordered to pay a bail of 500 NIS to release his son. The child is now serving a sentence of 4 days house arrest, with a suspended sentence of 6 months that will be implemented should he be arrested on charges of stone-throwing.
