Silwan, Jerusalem (SILWANIC) —

Eyewitnesses report that Israeli troops fired a tear gas grenade in to a family home in Bir Ayyub district of Silwan. Members of the Al-Khatour family experienced serious breathing problems after the gas bomb was fired randomly in to their home, with the mother and 2 daughters under 5 years of age evacuated from the home suffering asphyxiation effects. Panic swept through the house as gas filled the rooms, said onlookers.
This state of alarm has become a sad reality in Silwan as, each Friday, Israeli forces wantonly fire gas grenades and other weapons in and around residential homes, often filled with children. The gas spreads rapidly in closed spaces, subjecting those affected to breathing difficulties and fear from the loud explosions they emit when fired.
