Silwan, Jerusalem (SILWANIC) —

As part of the Naqba Day memorial activities, a large crowd marched from the Damascus Gate in Jerusalem through the streets of the city, demonstrating their commitment to the Right of Return and claim to the land that hundreds of thousands lost in 1948. Today 5 millions Palestinian refugees living in neighboring countries and in Palestine itself, are waiting to return.
The march also criticized the silence from the international community, and the weakness of the Arab leaders to address the ongoing violation of human rights by the Israeli occupation. Israeli forces tried to block the march but were unable to delay the determined protestors.
