The ongoing complicity of international corporations and institutions in Israeli policies in East Jerusalem and the West Bank is now readily apparent. Bulldozers used for home demolitions in Silwan and other parts of East Jerusalem come from companies such as Volvo (Sweden) and Hyundai (South Korea). Silwan’s residents view these companies as complicit in the destruction of their lives through hazardous tunneling, home demolitions, and other policies of the settlement association or Israeli government.
